LicenSweep

Microsoft 365 · license audit

Seats billed 47

Sitting idle 90+ days 12

Stop buying seats you already have and arrive at renewal with a verified reduction plan. LicenSweep turns Microsoft 365 license and activity data into a recurring review queue—showing what can be reassigned now, what needs human verification, and what to reduce at the right billing window.

No sign-in, card, video, or sales meeting is required for the demo. Connecting a real tenant uses read-only Microsoft consent.

How it works

  1. Connect

Your admin grants read-only consent — one click, no password shared with us.

  2. Scan

We compare Microsoft activity with purchased and assigned seats, then repeat the review as usage changes.

  3. Reclaim

Reuse verified seats instead of buying more, and prepare the purchased-quantity reduction before the allowed billing window closes.

What you can answer

Walk into renewal with a review queue, not a guess

01

Where can we reuse capacity?

Separate purchased seats, consumed seats, and available capacity before approving another license purchase.

02

Which assignments need review?

Surface inactive licensed users and disabled accounts while keeping a human administrator in control of every decision.

03

When can spend actually change?

Keep reassignment recommendations separate from purchased-quantity reductions and the relevant renewal window.

04

What should we verify next?

Turn available Microsoft activity data into a recurring queue instead of rebuilding a spreadsheet for every review.

Questions, answered

Everything needed to try LicenSweep yourself

Does LicenSweep change or remove licenses?

No. LicenSweep uses read-only Microsoft Graph permissions and produces recommendations for a human administrator to verify.

What Microsoft permissions are required?

Reports.Read.All, LicenseAssignment.Read.All, and User.Read.All as Application permissions with administrator consent. These permissions do not allow LicenSweep to read email content or modify Microsoft 365.

Can I explore it without connecting Microsoft 365?

Yes. The interactive demo uses fictional Northstar Dental data and requires no sign-in, card, video, or meeting.

What happens when a tenant has no licenses or activity report?

The dashboard shows zero inventory and explains that activity data is unavailable. It does not treat an empty tenant as an application failure.

How are savings calculated?

Estimates use license assignments, available activity timestamps, and illustrative public pricing. Always verify your Microsoft contract, discounts, and business needs before changing a license.

Does unassigning a license immediately lower the Microsoft bill?

Not necessarily. Unassigning frees the seat for reassignment. Reducing the purchased quantity is a separate billing action and may be limited by the purchase channel, agreement type, term, and renewal or reduction window.

Why subscribe if seat reductions happen only at certain times?

LicenSweep helps avoid unnecessary seat purchases immediately, keeps a current review queue as staff and usage change, records subscription deadlines, and prepares a verified reduction list before the renewal window is missed.

How do trials and billing work?

A connected tenant starts with a seven-day trial. Starter supports 100 licensed users, Growth 500, and MSP beta 2,500. Billing is handled securely by Stripe.
