Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These draft terms govern your use of LicenSweep ("the Service"). The Service operator's legal identity and contact information must be inserted here before accepting public signups.

1. What the Service does

LicenSweep connects to your Microsoft 365 tenant via read-only Microsoft Graph API permissions, granted by your organization's administrator through Microsoft's own consent flow. It analyzes license assignment and usage-activity data to identify licenses that appear unused, and presents cost estimates based on that analysis.

2. Access and permissions

The Service requests only read-only application permissions (Reports.Read.All, Organization.Read.All). LicenSweep never requests write access to your tenant and cannot modify, delete, or reassign any license, user, or setting in your organization.

3. Accuracy of estimates

Cost and savings estimates shown by the Service are approximations based on list pricing and general usage patterns. They do not reflect your organization's actual contract pricing, discounts, or committed terms with Microsoft. You are responsible for verifying any figures before acting on them, including before canceling or reassigning any license.

4. Subscription and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via our payment processor. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months except where required by law.

5. Disconnecting the Service

Your administrator may revoke LicenSweep's access at any time from the Microsoft 365 admin center (Enterprise applications → LicenSweep → Remove), independent of canceling any paid subscription with us.

6. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any decisions made, licenses canceled, or costs incurred based on information provided by the Service.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Contact

The Service operator will publish a monitored support email here before public launch.

This is a general-purpose template and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney. Consider having these terms reviewed before relying on them for a paying customer base.
